Bucs single-game tickets on sale today

TAMPA (FOX 13) -

If you're a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan, get your wallet out: single game tickets go on sale Wednesday.

Brian Ford, the team's operating officer, said he can't guarantee the team will avoid more blackouts this year, but he's been encouraged by season ticket sales.

Season ticket renewal rate is reflecting the glory years, Ford said, and he's not ready to go back to stricter blackout standards.

This is the second year in a row the Bucs have made an agreement with the NFL to broadcast games locally, with 85 percent of non-premium seats sold.

In the past three seasons, 19 games were blacked out.

The team dropped its ticket prices on 35 percent of their seats this year; they haven't raised ticket prices in five years.
